The Bucksport Historical Society is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization established in 1967. The organization is the owner of two museums located in Bucksport, Maine.

The Bucksport Paper Mill Museum was acquired in 2023. It is located at 4 Mariner Way in what was the gatehouse for a paper mill built in 1930 which closed in 2014. Beginning June 2, the museum will be open on Tuesdays, from 8 am to 1 pm or by appointment by calling Chip Stubbs at 207-299-5291 or Roger Wood at 207-598-5741.

The Bucksport Historical Museum was acquired in 1965 and is located at 92 Main Street in an 1874 Railroad Station which is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is open from May 31 - September 20, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 am to 1 pm.
