November 2023

After a four plus years effort with four different owners, Attorney Bill Tymoczko delivered the deed to the former mill guardhouse property from Bucksport Generation LLC to Ed Buck, president, Bucksport Historical Society; Chip Stubbs, renovation foreman; Larry Wahl, restoration consultant; Pat Ranzoni, Co-chair Working Group; and Ryan Pickoski, curator, for the development of the Bucksport Paper Mill Museum. JERA Americas sold the property to the Society for $1.00.

Hundreds of donors have contributed to a Founders Fund to insure and begin repairing the historic building that holds echoes and memories of thousands of former mill workers who passed through the gate.
