Join our gatehouse renovation crew
We are looking for volunteers to help us transform the former paper mill gatehouse building into the Bucksport Paper Mill Museum. Weekly work sessions are scheduled every Tuesday this summer from 8am to noon. Drop by and see what we have been up to and lend a hand.

Working group secures deed to the guardhouse building
After a four plus years effort with four different owners, Attorney Bill Tymoczko delivered the deed to the former mill guardhouse property from Bucksport Generation LLC to Ed Buck, president, Bucksport Historical Society.
Hamabe print donated to Bucksport Paper Mill Museum
Carolyn Zachary, assistant editor of The Republican Journal, donated a silkscreen print by the late Maine artist Francis Hamabe to the Bucksport Paper Mill Museum.
Ranzoni donates royalties to preserve papermaking history
Patricia Smith Ranzoni, Bucksport Poet Laureate, presented the first donation of over $2200 in royalties from her anthology: STILL MILL: Poems, Stories & Songs of Making Paper in Bucksport, Maine 1930-2014, to the Bucksport Historical Society President Ed Buck at the May 7, 2018 meeting.
